Type illustration

So we've explored a little bit of the power of Adobe Illustrator and we've made sketches of our type drawings. Now is the time to get your concepts out of your sketchbooks and onto your computers!

Pick your favorite design from your five "tight" sketchbook drawings and start creating it using the computer and ONLY type (letters, numbers, symbols, etc.) Basically you can use any character that is available on your keyboard for this project, but that is ALL you can use.

You will have all of the class period to work on these and you may continue them for homework. They will be due at the beginning of class on Wednesday. I will be available to answer technical questions about Illustrator during class time.

HOMEWORK:

• Finish your type illustrations.

• Turn them in at the beginning of class on Wednesday

• Save as PDF and make your filename like this: lastname_type.pdf
